Lots of people did not either complete their sketches, or did not get peer reviews. Other people did not show are the required elements. Some of you did not circle your intended design or designs. Get the sketches wrapped up, and turned in ASAP! Move on to the computer to design the final:
- Begin with the background first. Build a base for your cover that is made of texture or pattern. A plain white background is not visually interesting to look at, and will not add much to your design.
- In-lining is a great way to create depth and layers to the text.
- Create a focal point in your design.
- what do you want the viewer to look at first.
- lead the viewer around the design through the use of line, color, shape and texture.
- Opacity changes can be added to create interesting layers
- Use image trace to change a photograph or drawing into vector art
