Agenda Cover

Assignment Requirements:

  • 10 layout sketches
  • Peer Reviews from 3 Computer Graphics classmates
  • Final design or designs using the required document size and guidelines



Programs and Layout


  • Your agenda design is a tool that students can with them throughout the day.  What would be eyecatching or interesting to you and your classmates?
  • Use Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop or both.
  • Dimensions: 5.375” wide & 8.3125” tall
  • Use guidelines to create extra spaces.  The area within the first guideline (Safety Line) will fit the cover text and logos.  Set these guidelines at 4" x 7.25". The next guideline is the Trim Line. This is the area where the cover will be cut. Your texture and extended design should go past this line to the Bleed Line (the document border). The trim line is set at 5" x 7.9375". The purpose of the “bleed area” is to accommodate the rounded corners of the agenda cover.
  • This is a full color design.
  • It should have layers to create depth.  Find texture and paint brushes online to create visual interest.


Design dimensions are as follows:

  • 300 dot resolution (155 lines)
  • 5.375” wide & 8.3125” tall
    • Safety Line-4" x 7.25" (vertical lines - 0.687" & 4.687", horizontal lines - 0.53125" &  7.53125")
    • Trim Line-5" x 7.9375" (vertical lines - 0.1875" & 5.1875", horizontal lines - 0.1875"& 8.1875")

  • 2018-2019
  • Illustrator and/or Photoshop design
