Typographic Logo Series

We will be creating the typographic logo series. Over the last couple of days, everyone has been designing a black on white typographic logo.  We will be continuing that theme and learning other ways of creating interesting logos for your clients.

We will use skills from the tutorial using Path Finder Window and Shape Builder Tool Tutorial.
This tutorial will give you some creative options for designing the White on Black.

  • White on Black Logo design finished up
  • Spot Color and Pantone Color next
  • Finish up Traced Scans-I will start grading these during break.
  • Turn-in your Gallery Walk feedback from Thursday.

Gallery Walk

Gallery Walk Critique-
This is a 100 point activity, so be sure to write your name next to all three of your comments. You must go to 3 people not in your row. At the top of your page ask a specific question about your design that you would like to get feedback on. Next think about the the following general questions:

  1. Is the logo well organized and and eye catching?
  2. Is the logo one that the client could not easily create in word, or other word processing programs?
  3. Does the logo meet the criteria set up by the client?
    1. Typographic?
    2. Graphic Design Company?
  4. Is this design flexible enough to use in a variety of situations?
Based on the 5 questions, what suggestions would you give the designer.
Use the comments to make improvements to your design.
Hand in the Gallery Walk assignment. Please make sure your name is bold and at the top of the page.
